OPENING MID MARCH
Our Location
The Glamorgan Heritage Coast Path takes in 14 miles of unspoilt coastline and breath-taking scenery. Between West Aberthaw to the east and Porthcawl to the west, there are the dramatic Blue Lias cliffs, the huge dune system of Merthyr Mawr, sandy beaches, stony bays, wooded valleys and a host of hidden gems to discover. With the second highest tidal range in the world – after the Bay of Fundy in Canada – and the huge range of scenery, the Glamorgan Heritage Coast has seascapes to rival any coastline in Britain. All of these, combined with spectacular wildlife and the remains of over 2000 years of human habitation, make this area truly unique.
Whether you’re looking for an easily accessible beach with family friendly facilities, somewhere for a short amble – or challenging walk, activities to stimulate the children, the remains of a castle to explore, or you just wish to escape the crowds to a remote location, you will find the perfect place to visit along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast
